ELO CONFIRMED AS 2017 ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! A little over an hour ago, the folks at Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame confirmed that ELO will indeed be amongst the 2017 inductees at the ceremony in Spring 2017, after not a little controversy in the fan ballot which ended on Monday 5th December with the Electric Light Orchestra coming in behind Journey in the hotly contested online poll.

The class of 2017 will also feature Joan Baez, Journey, Yes, Pearl Jam and Tupac with Nile Rodgers receiving the Award For Musical Excellence. The event will take place at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday 7th April 2017. An edited version of the induction ceremony will be broadcast via HBO with a simultaneous radio broadcast on SiriusXM.

Yours Truly KJS and elobeatlesforever (elobf) wish to congratulate Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, Bev Bevan, Richard Tandy and, of course, ELO upon their RRHOF induction award. It will be most interesting to see who turns up at the ceremony on the day ...

Until next "Time" in the ELO [and related] Universe ... KJS ... 20-Dec-2016

  3. Everyone deserves credit Like Kelly Groucutt! He was with ELO a long time and helped to define the sound of the band. No Mik Kaminski? Kind of silly to leave him out. Props to all members of ELO! I love you guys!
