CAUGHT LIVE [2]: PETE KENT @ THE ROBIN 19/07/16

Pete Kent thrilled a healthy Tuesday night audience at The Robin 2 [Photos: John Collins/Forever] ...
Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! The opportunity to once again see Wolverhampton's very own world renowned finger style guitarist Pete Kent headlining his own gig at The Robin 2 on Tuesday 19th July was simply too good to pass on an extremely warm evening in Bilston earlier this week. Pete was preceded by an impressive eight [8] song support set by Jade & Sunny who included stunning versions of "Come Together", "Spooky" and "Cupid" during their opening slot. The local duo - a relatively new pairing - looked and sounded assured on the famed stage and hold much future promise.
Super support: Jade Duncombe [r] & Sunny Mohindra [l] ...
Pete Kent - lauded by Mark King of Level 42 fame and featured worldwide in numerous performance videos on YouTube worldwide including this performance of Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is" - never fails to amaze audiences with his plethora of stringed skills as he uses practically every inch of of his guitar to deliver quite stunning interpretations of classic songs intertwined with his own compositions. And so it was again as we were treated to another array of top musicianship as we were treated to sublime arrangements of songs including ELO's "Don't Bring Me Down", The Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Eleanor Rigby" as well as tracks from his latest album "The Hidden Hand", including the lovely "Every Time I See Your Face". Sometimes a review can fail to capture the atmosphere and unique vibe of a concert. This was one such event.
Yours Truly KJS very much looks forward both to the next Pete Kent concert and also reviewing new album "The Hidden Hand", which can purchased via these links thus:
