RECOMMENDED: KING'S HEATH WALK OF FAME BEATLES FEST 2016

Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! When John Lennon stated that ELO were the "son of [The] Beatles" back in 1974, it was the ultimate of compliments and another huge nod to the influence of The Beatles on Birmingham's finest, with many more links and comparisons to follow. But did you know that 2016 marks the 53rd anniversary of The Beatles' maiden live performance in Birmingham [the first of three appearances at King's Heath Ritz Ballroom] in the home of 'Brum Beat'  back on Friday 15th February 1963?

My good friends Bob Prew and Ken Whittaker at King's Heath Walk Of Fame have dropped Yours Truly KJS and ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] a line regarding their forthcoming Beatles Valentines Weekend Fest on Sunday 14th February. The day comprises two events: an "All You Need Is Love" themed aftrnoon with local musicians performing Beatles love songs [including our very own Trevor Burton] at Fletcher's Bar in York Road and an evening concert at The Hare & Hounds [also in King's Heath] by highly rated The Mersey Beatles, a band with the endorsement of none other than John Lennon's sister Julia Baird.

Tickets can be purchased in person from Kitchen Garden Cafe, Hare & Hounds or wegottickets.com with ticket prices ranging from £4.00 to £12.00 each [see above press release].
